Section 504 Training<\/strong><br data-rich-text-line-break=\"true\">New 504 Coordinators\/counselors, this is a <strong>mandatory <\/strong>meeting<strong><br><\/strong>Existing 504 Coordinators\/counselors, you are<strong> highly encouraged <\/strong>to attend<br data-rich-text-line-break=\"true\"><br>Presenter &#8211; Winston Cornwall, ODE&#8217;s 504 Specialist<br data-rich-text-line-break=\"true\">October 13, 2021 from 8a &#8211; 12:30p &#8211; (includes two 15 minute breaks).<br data-rich-text-line-break=\"true\">Trinity Episcopal Church &#8211; Brooks Room<br><em><strong><br>You will need to register in Performance Matters. <br><\/strong><\/em>Go to the Portal, under quick links click on Performance Matters, employees<em>. <br>Click on My Courses and enter the following course #:&nbsp; 10285<br><strong><br><\/strong><\/em>Currently the training is planned for in-person, but this could change<\/p>\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\n\n\n<h4><span style=\"color: #33cccc\"><strong>Process for students exiting from a 504<br><\/strong><span style=\"color: #000000\"><br>There are 2 ways a student can exit from a 504:<\/span><\/span><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Team to find student ineligible:\n<ol>\n<li>Notify district 504 coordinator assistant to move student to 3 yr re-eval process<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol>\n<li>Hold a team meeting (including parents) to find student ineligible (mild\/mod).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol>\n<li>No need to fill in the accommodations section<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol>\n<li>Send meeting packet &amp; have plan checked<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol>\n<li>Synergy will ask you Y\/N exit from 504 process once you finalize the Eligibility section.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol>\n<li>Say Y and it\u2019s done.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>Parents ask to terminate the plan &#8211; student is still eligible for a plan\n<ol>\n<li>This is a revocation<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol>\n<li>Have parent send you a letter of revocation, signed\n<ol>\n<li>It must include the wording \u201cWe are revoking all 504 services\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol>\n<li>Scan\/send to me<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol>\n<li>I\u2019ll upload letter and remove student from the SE 504 process<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><strong><span style=\"color: #33cccc\">Non-exiting option:<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Eligible but no plan (or accommodations)<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Notify district 504 coordinator assistant to move student to 3 yr re-eval mode<\/li>\n<li>Fill in all sections AND in accommodations write:&nbsp; &#8220;Eligible but no plan\/accommodations at this time&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Send meeting packet &amp; have plan checked<\/li>\n<li>Continue to monitor student annually<\/li>\n<\/ol>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>HOLD THE DATE Fall &#8211;
