OPEN NURSING POSITION
We currently have a 1.0 FTE position available. It is posted on the district website and will close on November 18th.
KINDER EXCLUSION DAY
Kinder Exclusion Day is Thursday November 21, 2024!
Please work with your registrar/secretary to make sure students are updated.
All student Exclusion Day is February 19, 2025.
UKG TIMESHEET CHANGES
Starting November 11th we will have a temporary pause on the use of UKG Time & Leave and transition to paper timesheets.
For staff nurses, you will only need to submit a paper time sheet if you take a leave or if you work additional hours during the month.
Sub nurses will need to submit the paper timesheet for the time they have worked.

NOVEMBER NURSE MEETING
Wednesday November 13th
2-3:30pm at Pilot Butte Middle School in the library
Sub nurses please join us at the November meeting! We will have a little business to take care of followed by some FUN team building activities.
ADVANTAGE DENTAL
Advantage Dental is going to be introducing QR codes for the consent forms. Families will still have the option of using the paper consent form if they prefer. QR codes will be sent directly to each school from Advantage dental and schools can decide how they would like to send them out to families.
This is starting now for our schools that still need to be screened this year.
NURSE SERVICE MANUAL UPDATES
The following updates were made to the NSM:
- Updated language “standards of care” to “standards of practice” and added link to NASN article, “Practicing With A Framework Mindset: A Closer Look at the Standards of Practice Principle” (p. 15)
- Link to NASN School Nurse article on Allergy/Anaphylaxis Clinical Practice Guideline added to helpful links in Anaphylaxis section (p. 70)
- Link to REAPConcussion.com added to helpful links in Concussion section (p. 120)
- Added link to NASN article, “Practicing With a Framework Mindset: A Closer Look at the Principle of Care Coordination” to the helpful links in the Care Coordination section (p. 157)
- Minimum age of student consent for Medicaid billing changed from 15 to 18 (p. 161)
- Updated the Medicaid Billing section to remove instructions on the use of DSCtop. Nurses should refer to the instructional resources available within the DSCtop platform. (p. 162)
Also, as a reminder, your NASN/OSNA membership includes a subscription to NASN School Nurse and the Journal of School Nursing, which can be accessed via Sage Journals. Refer to p. 11 of the NSM, which contains a link to instructions on the NASN website.
