Additionally, the examples in the document are just guidelines and you should use other health conditions, comorbidities, social determinants of health, self-care abilities and more to make your decision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The ODE Student&nbsp;Acuity&nbsp;Tool<em>&nbsp;(updated 3\/2025) is an<\/em>&nbsp;important tool to help determine&nbsp;acuity.&nbsp; To fully understand this tool, please review the training&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/nam04.safelinks.protection.outlook.com\/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fyoutu.be%2FSr-E9QuApNU&amp;data=05%7C02%7Ctami.pike%40bend.k12.or.us%7Cc32ea50e0eb24fd098fc08dd88286d76%7Cb9c51293e4b947a8904a452864568fe1%7C0%7C0%7C638816429395881623%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJFbXB0eU1hcGkiOnRydWUsIlYiOiIwLjAuMDAwMCIsIlAiOiJXaW4zMiIsIkFOIjoiTWFpbCIsIldUIjoyfQ%3D%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&amp;sdata=XLaup51v8bfQtufZl0gkPnxfn3cJ8j2tVdOSbkEBv3E%3D&amp;reserved=0\">video<\/a>. Failure to do so may result in inaccurate data collection.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Collecting this data creates a more accurate picture of the intensity of nursing care required by a student, which helps establish nursing rations.&nbsp; Please take some time to complete this.&nbsp; I believe we have more Medically Fragile students than we&#8217;ve been counting in years past.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pro tips:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Print out an HLT 401 for all your schools and categorize your students that way. Summer EBT is administered by Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS) in partnership with Oregon Department of Education (ODE).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Things to know about Oregon\u2019s Summer EBT for children program:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Applications are due Sept. 3<\/strong>. (Eligible families will receive the full summer benefit as long as they apply by Sept. 3.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Families will get a one-time payment of $120 per eligible child on an Oregon EBT card.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Many children are considered \u201cautomatically eligible\u201d for Summer EBT and do not need to apply. This can include those whose families participate in SNAP, TANF or the Oregon Health Plan (OHP\/Medicaid) and meet income rules, as well as children who qualify for free or reduced-price school meals. They will automatically receive the money on their EBT card May 22.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For anyone who qualifies automatically, Summer EBT funds will be deposited on existing EBT cards May 22.
