Schools will be on their early release schedules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-luminous-vivid-amber-to-luminous-vivid-orange-gradient-background has-background has-larger-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>WHEN TO STAY HOME\/NURSE COMMUNICATION AFTER SCHOOL HOURS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-text-color has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"color:#b67e4e\"><strong>The information below was sent out to level leaders to send out to their school principals last week.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>COMMUNICATION TO THE SCHOOL NURSE AFTER SCHOOL HOURS<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><u>Non-Urgent Student Matters<\/u>\u00a0For any non-urgent student health matters, please email your school nurse and they will get back to you on the next school day.\u00a0Please do not phone or text after school hours.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><u>Urgent\/Emergent Student Matters<\/u>\u00a0For any urgent\/emergent student health matters that need to be addressed immediately, please contact Tami Pike for assistance.\u00a0(please text first 541-350-8387)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><u>Employee Health Related Questions.<\/u>\u00a0For any employee health-related questions\/concerns, please reach out to Human Resources at 541-355-1100.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>WHEN TO STAY HOME REMINDER<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><u>Illness Symptoms and When to Stay Home.<\/u>\u00a0Bend-La Pine Schools follows the Oregon Health Authority\/Oregon Department of Education\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.oregon.gov\/ode\/students-and-family\/healthsafety\/Documents\/Updated%20CD%20Guidance.pdf\">Communicable Disease Guidance for Schools<\/a>. This guidance\u00a0includes when an individual should be excluded from attending school on site (including any school-related activities such as clubs and sports).\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>For information on symptom-based exclusion guidelines, see page 8 of the Communicable Disease Guidance for Schools.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Fever \u2013 An individual must be fever free for 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medications.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Diarrhea\/vomiting \u2013 Must be 48 hours since last episode.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>COVID-19 is no longer an excludable disease (unless symptoms of fever, vomiting, and\/or diarrhea are present).<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Parents\/guardians\/staff are no longer required to report positive cases of COVID-19 to the schools. COVID-19 test kits and medical grade face masks are available to students and staff upon request. (cliff notes: ALL food should be stored in plastic tubs with tight fitting lids!)
