Loop in Emails from JH (Stabilization Center and St. Charles)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Some of you may have noticed receiving emails from Jennifer providing updates about your students and communication from a community agency. These emails serve to keep you informed and are sent to prompt a counselor follow-up with the student and\/or their family, depending on the situation. For confidentiality reasons, these emails will be encrypted. St. Charles-related communications will have a signed ROI attached, while DCBH Stabilization Center communication is covered under our MOU. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Community Partner Fair Resources<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We hope you enjoyed our Community Partner Fair. We received great feedback from both BLS staff and our community agencies. For future reference, here is a folder where I was able to upload documents that the agencies sent to us.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

LCR Night for Grades 6-12<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We will be hosting our first annual life and career readiness night on Tuesday, March 5th<\/sup> from 6-7:30 pm at Caldera High School.  This event is designed for students in grades 6-12 and will feature a kickoff from our new partner SchooLinks and then transition to a career fair.  There will be community members representing a variety of industries, colleges, and our armed forces present to talk with students and families.  We will be using February to start our advertising push so look for language soon to send out to families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We hope all counselors can be in attendance for this large event! It should be fun!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Affordable Connectivity Program<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Enrollment for the Affordable Connectivity Program is ending February 7<\/strong>th<\/sup><\/strong> at 11:59 p.m., and will NOT be accepting new enrollments after that time.<\/strong> This program is going through a “wind-down” process as the FCC expects funds for this program to run out by April if Congress does not approve more funding. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ACP is a federal program that provides a discount of up to $30\/month toward internet service for eligible households, and up to $75\/month for households on qualifying Tribal lands. Many households in our region qualify but have not signed up\/have never heard of the program. The more people participating in ACP the better. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please spread the word and help get households signed up before the deadline. Households can sign up at getinternet.gov <\/a>or accedeainternet.gov<\/a> in Spanish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Black Youth Mental Health Leadership Invitation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

These virtual mixers for black young people are being hosted by the Black Youth Suicide Prevention Coalition in February 2024.  Registration is linked in the QR codes on the attached image.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The flyer has two QR codes which will allow folks to register and immediately receive a Zoom link to the session they choose. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
