Trust Me Documentary

We all struggle to sift through what is fact and what is fiction. It’s a topic we work to teach our students – how to know what is real and how to find credible sources. I came across this documentary, through NewsLit, that I think would be great for our high school students to watch.

TRUST ME” is a 90 minute, 15 segment documentary that explores how a lack of media literacy is causing physical, emotional and political problems.

With support from the Knight Foundation, and a curriculum written by the News Literacy Project, The Getting Better Foundation is gifting “Trust Me”, a feature-length documentary, to the middle and high schools of the United States for one year starting October 6, 2020.

The documentary delves into manipulation and misinformation by exploring human nature, information technology, and how news and media literacy can engender trust.
