If you&#8217;re not familiar with what that is, it entails picking out a book that you want to share with students and reading them the first chapter in order to &#8220;hook&#8221; them. It always helps if the first chapter is really interesting. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To go along with this idea, Follett has a bunch of <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/btb.titlewave.com\/category\/videos\/first-chapter-fridays\" target=\"_blank\">First Chapter Videos<\/a> where the author reads the first chapter of their book. This might be fun to intersperse on those First Chapter Fridays. The videos range from roughly 2-30 minutes.
