TAG Update
Letters went out to parents of 2nd graders to indicate above/below the 97th %ile on the Naglieri.
Please take a look at the TAG list and check your list to see that I have it updated accurately. We only have a few students still waiting on the 2nd piece of evidence and it would be good to get these updated with a second piece (teacher referral) prior to us recieivng SBAC results if possible. Linked below is one of the teacher referrals. If you like a different variation there are more on the portal or ask me to find one for you and I will be happy to get it.
As we gain tools and strategies to allow us to personalize and challenge every student appropriately, the TAG process and label seems irrelevant (which is a good thing), however students with a TAG label graduate at a 97% rate which is siginificantly higher than the overall graduation rate for BLP students. Labels don’t always help students, however this is a statistic that strongly suggest otherwise for this particular label.
Placements
- Cards are in my office, please pick them up when you are ready.
- Parent Input (Student Profiles) deadline was Friday 4/19.
- First Day for placements is SIW 5/22.
- The second day for placements is SIW 6/5.

Resilence Survey to be completed on Monday, May 20th to avoid the Dibels Day.

Application process and forms are available on the employee portal. A keep date to keep in mind for this obligation is Wednesday, August 14th which is our district leadership academy.

Linked below is a great (quick read) teacher-written article to remind us of the importance of using kindness in our hearts as we deal with students failing to meet some of our “easy” everyday expectations. Be kind to yourself and be kind to them; there’s no good reason to try and blame either party.
