Please join me in wishing good luck and swift, happy feet to Lorin and Misha this weekend as they run the Moab Marathon.<\/span><\/p>\n https:\/\/tenor.com\/view\/tommy-ortega-run-forest-run-forest-gump-tom-hanks-gif-5306812<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n FYI – Lorin will also be out on Monday.<\/span><\/p>\n Tech Advisory Initiative<\/b><\/p>\n We have been asked to select a teacher from each school to participate in an advisory forum to discuss our digital conversion vision, the tech resources we have available, and options for the future. <\/span><\/p>\n We are looking for individuals who are passionate about teaching in a digitally integrated classroom. They should be someone who acknowledges the challenges of one to one devices, but who looks for solutions to overcome those challenges. \u00a0They should be willing to work collaboratively with our technology support services and seek improved methods and approaches to better serve our teachers and students.<\/span><\/p>\n The first meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, November 14th from 8:00-11:00. \u00a0Two more meetings will be scheduled later in the year. \u00a0If you are interested in this opportunity please email me right away and thank you for your interest. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Staff Meeting Reminder<\/b><\/p>\n Tuesday 11\/7 8:05-8:45<\/span><\/p>\n Agenda Items<\/span><\/p>\n Middle School Move Up Day <\/b><\/p>\n Middle schools have asked us to save <\/span>May 22 <\/b>for move up day. \u00a0I put this on the Highland Staff Calendar already as an all-day event. \u00a0We just need to avoid scheduling anything that might interfere with our 5th graders visiting their future middle school that day.<\/span><\/p>\n Transportation<\/b><\/p>\n Some new things are on the horizon around transportation and parent communication. \u00a0This is a brief overview:<\/span><\/p>\n Field Trip Forms<\/b><\/p>\n Please remember field trip forms should be completed and approved prior to scheduling the field trip. \u00a0The checklist at the bottom is extremely helpful to help avoid conflicts and make sure everyone is in the know. \u00a0The more we know in the office, the better we can support you.<\/span><\/p>\n Calendar<\/b><\/p>\n Please, please, please use the google calendar for planning to help avoid conflicts. \u00a0We have printed versions also available in the staff room on one of the Fridges. \u00a0\u00a0Thanks so much!<\/span><\/p>\n Calendar Link<\/a><\/p>\n Have a great weekend! \u00a0Play, rest, stay off your computer and have fun.<\/p>\n Brian<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Run, Lorin and Misha, Run!!
