2018 ready or not, we are off!!<\/span><\/p>\n

Thank you, everyone for your work on this Storyline. \u00a0I know it can be stressful, but please know there is a huge amount of excitement and appreciation among our students and parents right now, so I sincerely hope you can take a few moments to step back and enjoy the process for your own benefit. \u00a0You deserve to have fun, so make it happen.<\/span><\/p>\n

January Assembly Canceled<\/b><\/p>\n

Based on what I was hearing this past Wednesday it sounds like canceling the January assembly would be in our best interest. \u00a0We will double-up on the February assembly and this should free up another morning for this busy month.<\/span><\/p>\n

Design Team Meetings<\/b><\/p>\n

Next week we have our next round of design team meetings with Academic Excellence on Tuesday, Thriving Citizen on Wednesday and Future Ready on Thursday. \u00a0We are coming up on the halfway point of the school days and we need to plan out the remaining \u201cunclaimed\u201d SIWs for the year.<\/span><\/p>\n

SBAC<\/b><\/p>\n

The OAKS portal went live this past week, so I will be creating accounts for everyone involved in testing. \u00a0I plan to wait until later in February or early March to do this since the auto-email tends to expire after a short time period, however if you would like access earlier, just let me know. \u00a0Our testing window is set for May 7th – May 25th.<\/span><\/p>\n

SafeTOUCH<\/b><\/p>\n

OK 2\/3 team, you are next! \u00a0I\u2019d like to get these lessons calendared soon so let\u2019s get together and determine some good dates. \u00a0We are looking to make 4 30-minute lessons per class. \u00a0Thank you!<\/span><\/p>\n

Easy-CBM window<\/b><\/p>\n

The Winter easy-CBM window is now open and it closes on 2\/7\/18.<\/span><\/p>\n

Site Council Meeting<\/b><\/p>\n

We met Thursday and JJ presented on behalf of the Future-Ready (Storyline) team. \u00a0The majority of our time was spent discussing topics on which to conduct our parent-survey. \u00a0Last year the focus on the communication provided some really positive actionable data, so we would love to identify a good topic of survey for this spring. \u00a0If you have any ideas, please fire them my way.<\/span><\/p>\n

Almost there\u2026.only a few stragglers left. \u00a0Please make sure these are returned to me immediately\u2026.and now we are ready for the mid-year review step. \u00a0(=<\/span><\/p>\n

2018 Enrollment Key Dates<\/b><\/p>\n

That time of year is coming up on us quickly. \u00a0This year the district is rolling out an online application for magnet schools. \u00a0Paper copies will still be available, but the online application should help streamline the process for each of the school offices tremendously.<\/span><\/p>\n
