Some of these items can be really busy, so if you like some help with printing something that is more user-friendly to your classroom, please don\u2019t hesitate to ask me.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/spreadsheets\/d\/1dOs55ExpHltu4ZVmiZjhBa0cNtS1Ep3dgYGi-HXfxlY\/edit?usp=sharing\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">2018-2019 Master Schedule <\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p><b>Class Rosters<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">I believe we have your rosters ready to go as we have moved them from cards to google-sheet to synergy. \u00a0Shawna should be able to print these for you after 8:00 Friday 8\/24 morning.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Print Shop Reminders<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Please remember to plan ahead whenever possible and use Print Shop as the savings do come back to our school.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Linked below are instructions for using Print Shop:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/a\/gapps.bend.k12.or.us\/file\/d\/13KThUyYKGmC9BZtgPr-nbN8QV4sm-_eA\/view?usp=sharing\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Print Shop<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p><b>Synervoice vs. School Messenger<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The district discontinued our use of Synervoice which is the program we used to send out messages to families. \u00a0We transitioned to a new program, School Messenger, this year. As with all new programs there will be some new learning involved to make certain it is working for all our purposes. \u00a0Right now the challenge is making sure staff receive the same messages that go out to families as that is not necessarily automated. You don\u2019t need to do anything, but please be aware there might be some hiccups here and there when we sent out all-school messages. \u00a0If you find you are not receiving messages (For example, the Newsletter email) please let us know.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Construction<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Next week we start the process of transitioning the gym back into our district ownership and responsibility. \u00a0Although we will be able to be in the building there will be some work needed to complete the project, but we are starting the transition now to ensure we can begin using the building when students begin. \u00a0During this process I tend to get quite a few short-notice requests to meet with the contractor or different vendors. I will do my best to stay in the moment and be mindful of all our needs this start-up week, but I wanted to let you know that this will be a fairly urgent and significant pull on my attention for the next week so we can use the building for our first day with students.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Also, the playground will be impacted significantly for the first week of school. \u00a0I am waiting to see how much area will be impacted for our first few days to see how we need to adapt our supervision, but there will likely be some challenges associated with fencing and equipment to avoid.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Ice Cream Social<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">For the ICS we will serve ice cream from tables in the new courtyard between the gym and our building. \u00a0The gym will be open for viewing, but not for use. I am going to run a protective paper trail for people to walk through and check out the building, but I will be asking parents and kids not to run and play on the surface just yet. \u00a0I will also provide some guidance to families via the newsletter.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Visitor\/Volunteer Sign In<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The visitor\/volunteer sign in process will be in effect on the first day of school. \u00a0We want to encourage parents to be sure to get their photo ID registered as soon as possible to help us keep this process operating smoothly. \u00a0We were able to get quite a few of our new Kinder families in the system today and we will be able to get more parents during the ICS.
