Picture Day Schedule- Pictures will be taken Monday and Tuesday of next week. The linked schedule is edition XIXIMC. Let us know if there is an issue.
4th and 5th Grade Wednesday- Laci came up with a nice spreadsheet for you to put names of students you are nominating to come in for three hours on Wednesdays. There is a small scoring guide/rubric that allows you to mark the reasons (lack of work, SEL issues, not attending webex, ELL, sped, 504). You can score students in each area from 1-3. If a student is ELL, IEP, 504, they get an automatic 3 in that column. Don’t spend a ton of time doing this. It’s a guide and hopefully will help us if there is a question or a difficult decision. Sped, Title, ELL and Admin will have access to review in order to make these selections team decisions so it’s not all on teachers. We will make phone calls beginning on Tuesday (that gives us over a week).
Title Groups- We have moved two Title groups to room C-1 to try and help teachers nad students have a calmer and quieter learning environment. Ms. Desiree and Mrs. DuValle will be working from C-1. If your students have a reading group with Ms. Desiree or Mrs. DuValle, direct them to C-1. Thanks!
Lockdown- Well done on the lockdown. The vast majority of classrooms were locked, dark and quiet. A couple reminders:
- Lock your door. 🙂 Only one unlocked.
- If you use a magnet, be sure to move it off the latch. Even a locked door doesn’t keep someone out if it’s not latched.
- You and your students should be in a place that is as out of view as possible.

PTA Pie Pick Up- PTA Pie Pick up will be next Thursday after school in the bus loop. PTA has it under control, but wanted to let you know the plan.
Rock out to a Good Book- If you think you know your music and want to win a prize that is probably not worth the effort (although the fame you get from winning will be fun for a while), then turn in your entries to me by Tuesday morning.
Song title, band name- bonus points for album title (all songs will be from a time that albums were a thing), and year the song was released. Tiebreaker is to include the information for song number 3 from yesterday. Tiebreaker tiebreaker will be how creatively you submit your answers. An email with your answers- not very creative. Including album art, or a diarama of the artist in concert- very creative. I’m going obscurer (that is a word) than yesterday, but not so obscure that you shouldn’t know if you spent any time sitting (without a seat belt) in the backseat of a 1972 white Volkswagen van listening to cassette tapes in the player mounted in the glove box.
