This week in language arts we’ll be working on our reading projects as the end of the trimester is rapidly approaching! All students in Ms. Turrell’s language arts classes will have some type of project due\u00a0Tuesday<\/strong>\u00a0Nov 19th.\u00a0<\/strong>They need to have their novels finished and be using the class time given, as well as time at home, to finish their projects. Given that they have a big project due soon, their HW this week will be to work on that project. In social studies, we have just started our study of the wonderful ancient civilization of Mesopotamia. Did you know they invented the world’s FIRST flushing toilets? Pretty ingenious! Students will be working on text dependent questioning this week to help them with reading and writing skills they’ll need for next year’s Smarter Balanced Assessment (replacement of the OAKS).
