The full assessment will provide more information for you. <a href=\"https:\/\/learning.amplify.com\/m\/4ac3f4768b59e590\/original\/mCLASS-Math-GK-5-Getting-Started-Checklists.pdf\">Here is a helpful checklist<\/a> to get ready for mClass. To get deeper into administering, <a href=\"https:\/\/learning.amplify.com\/m\/3916b52194e34bc6\/original\/MCM_MathAdministrativeGuide_2145401_062625.pdf\">here is a full document<\/a>. <a href=\"https:\/\/learning.amplify.com\/m\/5eae0ba0a045f879\/original\/MCM_BenchmarkGoals_2261200.pdf\">Here is a description of the Benchmark Goals.<\/a> There will be more professional learning opportunities throughout the year to learn how to use the data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">K-2 teachers &#8211; please do not worry about meeting the deadline of September 30th for assessments if you do not have your iPads.&nbsp; This is a soft deadline.&nbsp; Once you get your iPads take the time to settle in and then give the assessments.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Progress Report Feedback <\/strong><br>Some language changes have been made to the math section <strong>for grades k-2<\/strong>.\u00a0 Input regarding the existing reports for grades 3-5 is also welcomed.  <a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/zBzrLLvPxZoQYwJe9\">Please provide feedback<\/a> by<strong> <\/strong>Friday, September 26th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Educator Network Day <\/strong><br>The first Educator Network Day is fast approaching -October 8th! <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1O_itcsKgyKMslR6sGt6joxB7DvMK9N6DXE6p69naJME\/edit?usp=sharing\">Here are the topics and locations<\/a>.&nbsp; Registration will open on September 26th.&nbsp; It is important to register even if you plan to attend the session at your school.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Required Assessments on iPads<\/strong><br>ROAR, MClass Math, Dreambox (1st-5th)), Waypoints (3rd-5th), and Lexia placement for students who are below benchmark and have not placed before are all required assessments.&nbsp; Reminder:&nbsp; Lexia is required for students who score below benchmark on Acadience.<br>(Recommended assessments: BOP for 1<sup>st<\/sup>&nbsp;&amp; 2<sup>nd<\/sup>&nbsp;and the EOP for 3<sup>rd<\/sup>-5<sup>th<\/sup>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Math Happenings<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Forefront <\/strong><br>Unit 1 for Amplify Desmos Math is ALMOST ready!&nbsp; You will receive an email when it is ready for you to input data.&nbsp; Hopefully, on Friday or Monday. Sorry for the delay.&nbsp; Amplify Desmos Math was unable to supply the necessary data file to make this an automatic upload.&nbsp; Forefront decided to manually input unit 1 for us.&nbsp; There is a bit of uncertainty with transferring data from Amplify Desmos Math digital assessments into Forefront, so please be patient this year. You will notice that there is not an overall score for the assessments. This is consistent with Amplify Desmos Math Scoring.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Amplify Desmos Math Assessment Rubrics <\/strong><br>It was discovered the sub-unit quizzes have a rubric for grades 2-5 within the digital assessment. There is a request with Amplify Desmos Math to provide the same rubric for the paper-pencil assessments. <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/drive\/folders\/1qd-prddbxlwQBulRHdUuNRmqcn79trPu?usp=sharing\">Here is what I copied from the digital assessments<\/a>. There is no rubric for the pre-unit checks, all questions are one point. The end-of-unit assessments have a rubric on the Amplify Dashboard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>DreamBox<\/strong> <br>Unfortunately, we are unable to change the \u201cprint program\u201d from Bridges to Amplify Desmos Math at the district level.&nbsp; These are the directions that individual teachers need to follow:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Log into Dreambox<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select <em>Settings<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select <em>Class Settings<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select <em>Print Program <\/em>and choose Amplify Desmos Math<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>DreamBox<\/strong> &#8211; With the Interactive Curriculum Guide educators can easily connect DreamBox Math to their classroom curriculum and instruction.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u2b50\ufe0f Explore <\/strong>the scope and sequence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u2b50\ufe0f See clear alignments<\/strong> to standards and concepts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u2b50\ufe0f<\/strong> <strong>Gain familiarity <\/strong>with their instructional design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u2b50\ufe0f Identify and preview <\/strong>lessons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;\ud83d\udd17 <a href=\"https:\/\/discovery-education.navattic.com\/CurriculumGuide?g=cm7m736yk000003ju8cu29zlg&amp;s=0\"><strong>Take the 2-Minute Tour<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Kindergarten Teachers <\/strong><br>A few weeks ago you received an email regarding missing items from your Center Kits.&nbsp; Amplify Desmos Math had a delay in their production, so we will not receive those for items another 7-10 days.&nbsp; If you need the items immediately, you can find the pdfs in the <a href=\"https:\/\/learning.amplify.com\/m\/2a0a8e3ef161a328\/original\/ADM-K-1-unit-prep-all-1E.pdf\">Unit Prep Packet <\/a>(log into Amplify before clicking on the link). If you still have questions, please reach out to your language specialist in your building, your instructional coach, or Anna Schmitt-ELD Instructional Coach K-12.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Student Well-Being<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Waypoints Summative Assessment for grades 3-5:&nbsp;<\/strong><br>This required assessment opens September 18th and closes October 25th for grades 3-12. Please see your administrator with more details but here is the <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1VwT2BJel-akKSjj4D9kXodru4L6fExF7\/view?usp=sharing\">3-5 Implementation Guide<\/a>. The assessment takes 15 to 20 minutes and can be completed on a student\u2019s Ipad, using Clever and then selecting Wayfinder. Here are <a href=\"https:\/\/wayfinder.zendesk.com\/hc\/en-us\/articles\/8189164785428-Understanding-the-Student-View#:~:text=Waypoints%206th%2D12th%20Grade,guide:%20Getting%20Started%20for%20Teachers.\">instructions for how it will appear in Student View.<\/a>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>When they log in to the Wayfinder platform, the Waypoints assessment will be clearly visible at the top of their dashboard. It will appear as a box containing the assessment&#8217;s name with a &#8220;Start&#8221; button next to it.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Coming Soon<\/strong>:&nbsp; <strong><em>Life and Career Readiness Priority Standards and Rubrics<\/em><\/strong><br>An alignment has been created for the SEL standards and Wayfinder.&nbsp; We have identified priority standards for each grade and created a rubric for teachers.&nbsp; These priorities will appear on the progress reports.&nbsp; In addition,&nbsp; K-2 will have an assessment you can give in Waypoints on Wayfinder.&nbsp; This is teacher observer action assessment (students will not take on the IPad) and will be aligned to the priorities and progress reports for each grade.&nbsp; We are seeking your feedback on these resources.
