To ensure all data saves correctly, please hold off on entering any information before that date. Our IT team may need to make additional updates, and any early entries could be lost in the process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Progress Report Updates and Changes&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Characteristics of a Learner has switched from M=Met, SM=Somewhat Met etc\u2026TO 1-4 scale like the rest of the progress report<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Characteristics of Learner is now based on priority standards for your grade which are directly linked to Wayfinder and ODE standards.&nbsp; <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/15AqfupnOJlOXwHLWMmpPLqt7h_QfFFABgzA2GW0vYu4\/edit?usp=sharing\">Here are the priorities and rubrics.&nbsp;<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Slight changes to wording in mathematics in K-2, 3-5 remains the same as previous years<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Amplify-Forefront-Synergy Data Flow\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Only End of Unit assessments will automatically transfer from Amplify to Forefront to Synergy- all other assessments will need to be entered into Forefront manually<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Data will be migrated from Amplify-Forefront-Synergy 1x per week until January 12th<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1\/13-1\/20 Kerry Morton (YOU ARE THE BEST) will upload the data each day.\u00a0 Please note there is a 1-2 day delay as the data migrates from Forefront to Synergy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>EL-Forefront-Synergy\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>This project is delayed but should be available by End of Year progress reports<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you have data in Forefront for EL, and you teach 2nd-4th, you can print handouts to see final calculations of scores.&nbsp; FYI\u2026.almost all students who were tested in the Fall will also be tested in the Winter.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Early Literacy Promise Celebration<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sharing stories of early literacy success &#8211; from a Kindergarten teacher<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The cutest thing just happened in my class.&nbsp; We were practicing putting our heart words in a sentence and taking it through chops independently.&nbsp; Brian has been working on the difference between upper and lowercase.&nbsp; Yesterday Jenny shared that when your neurons focus on it for a while it is almost like magic because then you just start doing it and you don&#8217;t have to think about it.&nbsp; Brian went off to do his sentences but he stopped at Jenny and said, &#8220;I promise to focus on my upper and lowers because I want to feel the magic!&#8221;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It gets cuter be ready!&nbsp; They went off to do their jobs and when we gathered back as a group for reflection, Brian announced he felt the magic and now it is easy with upper and lowercase letters.&nbsp; Jenny said, &#8220;Yay you promised me and see you did it!&#8221;&nbsp; I thanked Jenny for inspiring us through her learning and teaching.&nbsp; Her teacher light burns bright and I love how Brian took the inspiration and now he shows the connection between inspiration and teaching and now he is teaching the magic.&nbsp; After creating abstract self-portrait posters, students made their artwork read aloud their own writing.
