Registrations will go live on April 10th at 7:00 am.&nbsp; Keep an eye on the draft of <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/147kfvpLamjzPcsH_D3ROivaf3oioLXdi58Nlsa9ZIBM\/edit?usp=sharing\">this document<\/a> for what will be offered where.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Math Happenings<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Math Projects!&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Project 1: Assessment Audit &amp; Rubric Refinement<\/strong><br>The goal of this project is to ensure consistency and clarity across all assessment platforms. We need to align our PDF versions in the Google Drive, the Forefront platform, and the core Amplify website. Grades K-1 only!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Compensation:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>PDF Updates: 0.5 hours per unit<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Forefront Revisions: 1 hour per unit<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Kick-off: A brief 60-minute launch meeting will be scheduled to clarify workflows and expectations. Date TBD<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Project 2: Oregon Data Reasoning Alignment<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Amplify Desmos Math currently lacks specific alignment with Oregon\u2019s Data Reasoning standards. We are forming workgroups to bridge this gap.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Objective: Unpack Oregon Data Reasoning standards and develop high-quality lessons that either replace or enhance our current Amplify lessons.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Timeline: Two mandatory one-hour sessions dedicated to unpacking the standards, followed by collaborative workgroup time to create and vet the new lesson materials.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Compensation: 1 hour per lesson with expectation of 5-8 lessons per grade level.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Deadline: <\/strong>All projects need to be completed by June 1st.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Email Kerry Morton<\/strong> if you are interested in one or both projects.<br><br><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/17LiMTsuedf749MD5YnHoYul5a27ejATGZGWUcOxfNC0\/edit?usp=sharing\"><strong>Math Teacher Leadership Academy!<\/strong><\/a> Do you want to deepen your mathematics teaching and leadership skills while earning 15-17 graduate credits in two years? If so, sign-up!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Literacy Happenings<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">NatureConnect Central Oregon and its network of partners have <a href=\"https:\/\/natureconnectco.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/BLP-EL-Learning-Curriculum-Outdoor-Program-Alignment-3.pdf\">created a list of programs and resources that help to align with the Expeditionary Learning Curriculum<\/a>. The programs and resources listed below help to supplement the content areas in the EL Education modules and engage students in place-based, hands-on science activities. The programs connect to the guiding questions and big ideas from the modules, while ensuring that students have opportunities to make connections to local ecosystems and landscapes.
