So a team of teachers has worked collaboratively to translate ODE guidance and evidence-based fluency research into practical, clear benchmarks. To anchor this work in authentic student performance, over 30 kindergarten students were recorded and analyzed to calibrate what fluency actually sounds and looks like in classrooms. The following resources are designed to facilitate meaningful conversations within grade-level teams about what is being observed in students. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
For your own team consider- recording students, watching them as a team, then scoring them using the following rubric, and discussing the results with colleagues.
