If you have a creative classroom idea they would love to hear about it. This year\u2019s application period is now open and runs through October 31. Visit selco.org\/SPARK to learn more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On Monday we will have a small number of students begin Limited In Person Instruction (LIPI).  This group will be on campus from 8:30-10:30 daily.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>New Webex features<\/strong>:  If you didn\u2019t hear, some new WebEx features were recently released. The biggest feature was the addition of breakout rooms \u2013 this is a great way to engage students in <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.tcea.org\/strategy-classroom-discussion\/\">classroom discussions<\/a>.  Lots of resources and tutorials about WebEx can be found via <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.bend.k12.or.us\/instructionaltechnology\/webex\/\">this link<\/a>.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On Thursday, Paul Dean (COVID Safety Coordinator) and Sarah Barclay (BEA) joined Nurse Michelle, Mike, Lybe and I for a building walk-through and discussion of our return to school safety plan.  The discussion focused on the systems we will have in place for when students return in the hybrid model, Mike&#8217;s creative hallway traffic flow design, and disinfection\/air cleaning protocols. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bend-La Pine Schools has developed <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/12W1CiwISAOh_l5XUgFmkiUO2LejQ_wpP\/view?usp=sharing\">this flowchart<\/a> to assist in helping with different COVID related questions and concerns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thank you for always wearing your face mask unless you are working alone in your area\/classroom.   Please let me know if you have any questions about the new Bend-La Pine <strong>Restrictions on Face Shield Use<\/strong> guidelines.  Here again are the<a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1NM3HX6EXhdrz0PcG71zPZn5XQdQX-cQ4\/view?usp=sharing\"> exceptions<\/a> and the information from the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/coronavirus\/2019-ncov\/prevent-getting-sick\/cloth-face-cover-guidance.html\" target=\"_blank\">CDC website<\/a> the Bend-La Pine Safety Team used in this decision. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The next Safety Team meeting is on Tuesday at 1:00 in the Media Center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Each fall, SELCO awards grants of up to $1,000 to K-12 educators at schools throughout Oregon.
