Thank you for being so welcoming and friendly to the substitutes we have had at Lava Ridge this week. We regularly hear from these guests (ESD subs + District Office staff who have been substituting during the sub shortage) what a great vibe there is at Lava and how positive and helpful everyone is. -Wednesday, January 12th is an Educator Network SIW. K-1 will be meeting in the Media Center from 1:45-3:15 and all other grade levels will be meeting via Webex (watch for an email from your instructor) <\/p>\n\n\n\n

-The January Staff Meeting is Tuesday from 2:30-3:15 in the Media Center<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Lions Vision Screening is on Thursday <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you have not looked at the Targeted Remote Learning Checklist<\/a> recently you may want to review the list. Lots of additional resources for remote learning can be located on the TLC webpage by visiting the Ready, Set, Go<\/a> page. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Has your grade level discussed helping each other with sub plans in the event a team member needs to quarantine? We can time-sheet team members for their time helping each other out with sub plans. Just let Miriam and I know and we will get you compensated. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our Winter DIBELS date will has been adjusted and will now be Friday, January 21st. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Test to Stay is a new Oregon Department of Education program that allows unvaccinated, asymptomatic students and staff the opportunity for a modified quarantine that allows them to remain in school\/work rather than being forced to quarantine at home. Students and staff exposed to a person with COVID-19 in the classroom and\/or on buses while universal masking was consistently implemented<\/em><\/strong>, may qualify for this modified quarantine option. Those who choose Test to Stay will be required to mask for recess and extra-curricular activities.
