I am fortunate to work with such a dedicated, caring and skilled team. Much appreciated!! Here are a few notes to take you to your weekend.

Work Calendar- You will find a copy of your work calendar here. Please complete and return to me at your earliest convenience. We will take a few minutes at our meeting next Friday to discuss this and leave sheets.b

Observations/ Evaluations- As you are aware, certified staff are now on a two-year evaluation cycle. A summative evaluation is completed every other year, but the observation requirements look the same every year. However, there will be some changes to those requirements beginning this school year. I believe these changes strike a nice balance between honoring your time and the professionalism of our teachers, with improving instructional practices and pedagogical conversations between teacher and supervisor. Here is a summary of observation/evaluaton requirements this year.

Please let me know if you have any questions regarding these changes.

SMART- We are currently working on a new district agreement with SMART. I will share it with you as soon as it is complete (there should be no significant changes). Please do NOT sign an agreement with SMART for your school. The district agreement will outline what you are obligated to do as a partner. Call me if you have any questions.

Outdoor School- The state is now outlining district requirements for accessing outdoor school funding (just received our first communication yesterday). I will be working on the applications and keep you up to date as I learn relevant information. In the meantime, carry on with plans to attend outdoor school.

ACT/CBM- We will no longer be doing the ACT math for third, fourth and fifth graders. CBM will take its place. CBM has proven to be just as predictive for passing SBAC, it is easier to administer and costs less. More info around timelines will come soon as Dave is working on completing an assessment calendar.

Dibels- Here is the Dibels schedule.

Opportunity- Here is something some of you might be interested in pursuing.
