Conferences\/Interpreters-<\/span> <\/strong> Obviously, things have changed a bit since last week. I will still be scheduling interpreters at schools for conferences, but with shorter time, availability will be limited. Please let me know how many conferences will need interpreters on Friday<\/strong> and I will do my best to give everyone as much as I can given the time\/staff limitations.<\/p>\n

Staffing-<\/strong><\/span> Thank you for the quick turn around on ACR’s and Grandfather forms and getting students pointed to the right school so quickly. Please be sure to get students\u00a0 pointed if you haven’t already.\u00a0 Brad needs this to complete allocations. Once those are complete, Jon and I will determine what schools need to reduce and then we will contact principals of those schools. You will not receive your allocation until much closer to spring break, so no need to call Brad.<\/p>\n

MOU’s-<\/strong>\u00a0 Please do NOT sign any MOU’s. MOU’s should be district level and schools should not enter into any MOU’s with any organizations. Some examples include SMART reading or Walking School Bus.\u00a0 SMART should be a district level MOU. Walking School Bus is something we can help promote through signs on our community bulletin board, but we shouldn’t have an MOU with them. If you have any questions about any of this, give me a call.<\/p>\n

Kindergarten Team-<\/strong><\/span> Just a reminder that kinder teachers on the kinder team will be presenting ideas for the kinder start of the school year next Thursday at 10 in the boardroom. Please RSVP to me or Michele Vincent, michele.vincent@bend.k12.or.us if you plan to attend.<\/p>\n

New High School-<\/strong><\/span> The new HS principal interviews are this coming Monday and you have probably seen the announcement regarding the four finalists sent out earlier today. There will be a public forum that evening, beginning at 4:00pm, in the board room that you are all invited to attend.<\/p>\n

One Class at a Time- <\/strong><\/span>Mid Oregon Credit Union in Partnership with KTVZ is sponsoring the One Class at a Time program that highlights one classroom a month that is doing something unique with our students. The teacher is rewarded with $500 to use towards a project. Consider\u00a0nominating one of your teachers\u00a0for this OR send this info to your staff so they can enter themselves! Here is a link for additional details<\/a>.<\/p>\n
