These Calming Strategies Can Help <\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Important Notes:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>MAC Day-<\/strong>Tuesday, February 12.&nbsp; Please encourage your staff to get this completed. It is a major source of our FAN funding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tamarack Program Numbers &#8211; These numbers are reviewed weekly by SPED Leadership and will also be shared out with building leaders this month. They include students that we manage and support that may not be in our classrooms on a daily basis. We are serving a lot of students. While we might not have captured the hearts of all of our students-YET-we will get there. Keep doing great work! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"210\" height=\"401\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.bend.k12.or.us\/hayley.etnier\/files\/2019\/02\/Screen-Shot-2019-02-05-at-1.17.11-PM-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1243\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>GRANTS-  <\/strong>The Education Foundation for Bend-La Pine Schools will open the 2019 <strong>Classroom Grants program<\/strong> on\u00a0<strong>February 18, 2019<\/strong>.  Educators may submit one grant but schools may on the activities  several grants with principals\u00a0indicating mostly familiar priority of  requests. The <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1HFOb7fjEPRHPIfUcm76EVPc1f9IOzzvK\/view?usp=sharing\">online grant application and guidelines<\/a> will be available at\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.engagedminds.org\/\">www.engagedminds.org<\/a>\u00a0beginning Feb. 18th. The program closes at 5pm on\u00a0<strong>Friday, March 22, 2019<\/strong>.   An email communicating this information to all BLS educators grading  of\u00a0will be distributed by the Superintendent\u2019s office on February   19th.\u00a0 Last year the Foundation awarded over $89,000 in innovative STEM,   art, music &amp; wellness grants!\u00a0 Any questions?
