One of the most powerful ways to teach Digital Citizenship in the classroom will no longer be FREE as of October 1st, 2016. All teachers are expected to teach Digital Citizenship EVERY year in their classroom. Most of us have been using the interactive iBook lessons from Common Sense Media to complete this important task. It is my hope that every teacher will download both the teacher and student editions for the grade level they teach prior to October 1st.
Instructions to download the iBook(s):
- Open this blog post on your iPad (It will also work on your computer if it is SILVER and has the app “iBooks)
- Click on this link- taking you to Common Sense Media’s iBooks lesson page.
- Click the green Download now button. (this should open to the iBooks Media page of the iBooks store)
- Download both the teacher and student edition of your grade level. (note: grade levels are grouped primary, intermediate, middle school, high school)
Worried about space on your iPad or computer? No worries, feel free to delete the book from your device once you have completed your assigned lesson. The iBook subscription will remain in the cloud and not on the device. It will be available for you to download (for free) next year.
