Sora – Access and Tips 📚📱

Sora, our district’s digital library with an ever-evolving collection of thousands of ebooks, audiobooks, and magazines, is one of our district’s best literary resources. Whether you’re ready to dive in for the first time or learn something new about what you already use, here’s everything you need to know:

Sora is available as an app in Self Service, online at https://soraapp.com and in Clever. Here’s a quick video to get started.

A snapshot of what Sora has to offer: 10,000 titles of ebooks, 2,100 audiobooks, and 440 magazines. In the last 30 days, BLS has over 12,000 checkouts and over 8,000 hours read. Students and staff are going strong!

Handy features worth noting:

  • When you check out an audio or ebook, Sora automatically downloads it to your device, which makes it accessible offline. Just be sure to let it download fully before closing the app.
  • Renew, return, and place holds with the tap of a finger.
  • Your past activity, notes, and highlights are easy to find.
