Looking for 100% engagement? Look no further. Lindsey Christian, an English Language Arts teacher at La Pine High School, used a snowman drawing game as a way of connecting with her students over WebEx. Here’s how it works:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Materials needed:<\/strong>
Spiral Notebook
Pen or pencil<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Instructions:<\/strong>
Remind students that it might be hard, it’s going to look silly, but it’s going to be fun!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Tell the students to place their notebook on their head.<\/li>
  2. Hold the notebook in one hand and the pen in the other hand.<\/li>
  3. Turn on cameras (optional but highly encouraged)<\/li>
  4. Once everyone is ready, give these instructions:
    1. Draw a line for the snowy ground.<\/li>
    2. Draw a snowman.<\/li>
    3. Draw a top hat on your snowman.<\/li>
    4. Draw stick arms for your snowman.<\/li>
    5. Give your snowman eyes to see<\/li>
    6. Give your snowman a scarf and mittens.<\/li>
    7. Give your snowman a carrot nose.<\/li>
    8. Draw a cloudy sky with snow falling.<\/li>
    9. Give your snowman a mouth.<\/li><\/ol><\/li>
    10. Now everyone can turn on their cameras to show their drawings.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
