The first one I realized I needed was when I was out on a date with my husband. We were out to dinner and it was time to pay the bill and if you’re anywhere near our age, you might be able to relate. Neither one of us had brought our reading glasses since we don’t always need them. Well, the lighting was dim and the text was small on the dinner receipt. It was hard to tell what to write for a tip. Thankfully, we had our iPhones with us! I went to the Control Center in Settings and added the Magnifier. Voilà! Now it is a simple tap and solved our problem. Whew! I have a feeling we’re going to be using this tool more often.

This can also be done on your iPad.

Go to Settings

Tap on Control Center

Scroll down to Magnifyer and tap on it

Find it in your Control Center

On the iPhone with a home button, swipe up from the bottom of your screen

On an iPad or iPhone with Face ID, swipe down from the top right hand corner.

The second tip is one I found from the MacMost newsletter that I subscribe to. His videos are very informative. Here’s one on how to Use Drag and Drop On Your iPhone or iPad (you need to be using iOS 15 or later):

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j5AWoQWFX1o

I think this last tip could be useful for students when they’re working on assignments.

It’s been a while since we’ve posted any tech tips, so I’m going to give you 2 today.
