It also replaces the use of personal streaming services and hardwiring devices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Who can use Swank?<\/strong><br>Swank is available to certified teachers, administrators, and media managers for instructional and school community use, like showing film in class, movies during lunch on Fridays, or family movie nights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>How do I access Swank?<\/strong><br>Use this link to access Swank for Bend-La Pine Schools: <a href=\"https:\/\/bls.fyi\/swank\">https:\/\/bls.fyi\/swank<\/a>. Please follow the district\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/meetings.boardbook.org\/Public\/File\/2413?file=de3926da-ab21-4d2d-9192-5ed64c31fcb5\">feature film guidelines<\/a> before showing a movie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What about films in other languages? <\/strong><br>Each film comes with its own language options, which vary based on the age of the film and what the motion picture industry provides. Many films include multiple audio and subtitle languages, but if a specific language isn\u2019t offered, it unfortunately isn\u2019t available through Swank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What if the film I want isn&#8217;t coming up in the search? <\/strong><br>Swank holds licensing agreements with a wide range of film studios, and any movie that appears in the Swank catalog or in search results is already licensed and available for district use; however, there are some exceptions to be aware of:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If a title appears with a \u201cRequest\u201d option, please complete and submit the request form; if approved by the EdTech department, the film will be added to the district-wide catalog.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If a title does not appear in search results at all, Swank does not hold the rights to distribute it and cannot provide access. In this case, Swank cannot be used to access the film.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If a title appears with the note \u201cAdditional time (4\u20136 weeks) &amp; fees apply to process request,\u201d Swank does not currently hold the license, and Bend-La Pine Schools would be responsible for the cost of obtaining it. In this case, Swank cannot be used to access the film.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>How do I show a film on my classroom screen?<\/strong><br>Open Swank in <strong>Safari<\/strong> and use AirPlay to project to your Apple TV. Teachers can make films available using the bookmark feature. Using a loaner BLS device, subs will navigate to&nbsp;Safari, and then <a href=\"https:\/\/bls.fyi\/swank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/bls.fyi\/swank<\/a>&nbsp;and login using the gueststaff login credentials.
