So far just 40% of our families have completed the survey&#8230; could you please complete one for your family BEFORE Friday Feb 4th. We have done our absolute best to balance the desire to make sure EVERY student has a few of their closer friends in class with them AND the desire to stretch social horizons and re-work our classroom &#8220;dynamics&#8221;!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We strive for a community where all our students know more than just each others&#8217; names, but at least a little of who their classmates are. This allows us to be there for people when they need help, aids in our development of empathy, and supports us in making the Realms community one where everyone feels known, appreciated, and valued for who they are.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>We are a small school, and one of our priorities is to help students gently move BEYOND their social comfort zones, little by little! Please know that while students are at home we want and expect them to be checking Canvas EVERY DAY (unless they are too sick to work) and completing assignments from that&nbsp;day&#8217;s classes using the resources on Canvas. We really hope that students who are stuck at home for 4 or 5 days can REMAIN CAUGHT UP! That is the purpose of having teachers use Canvas to upload lesson resources, assignments and instructions!
