Intensives are important and exciting opportunities to learn a new skill, serve our community, and have some fun! However&#8230; Intensives week also comes with MANY extra costs, from hiring experts to renting gear and spaces, and we need your support. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.friendsofrealms.org\/field-work-electives-donations\/\"><strong>You can support intensives by making a fieldwork contribution here!<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>One other way you can support intensives: <\/em><strong>We are looking for 8 bikes to be donated that are in need of some work to get up running.<\/strong> <strong>Do you have an old bike that needs TLC and that you are ready to part with?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gear Fix is coming out to help students diagnose and fix those bikes as part of our Mountain Biking Intensive! Students designed and built solar ovens&#8230; with some challenging restrictions!!<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are SO excited to share that Trimester 3 has arrived with Learning Expeditions at the 9th- and 10th-Grade levels&#8230; and the <em>radness<\/em> has already started!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Last Thursday all of our Sophomores engaged in a full-day &#8220;Immersion Day&#8221; where they spent the whole day being immersed in science\/engineering challenges that will inform their learning around Climate Change throughout the term.
