The move to our new campus has allowed us to decrease class sizes during Crew, bring back an elective program, and much more!<\/p>\n\n\n\n Curriculum Overview Including Elective Descriptions<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n Elective “Forecasting” Form<\/a> – complete this before school!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Links to 6th – 7th – 8th Grade Daily Schedules<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n A-B<\/strong> Class Lists<\/strong>\u00a0– Students will be placed into A and B cohorts (for ex. 7A or 7B) at the start of the trimester. They will travel in these cohorts for Math, Science, Humanities, and Art + Mind & Body. However, students will be in different groupings for Crew, Workshops and Electives! Our A and B classes will be announced the first week of school!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n We take care to build our class lists carefully and thoughtfully and while we \u201cnever say never\u201d, we do NOT<\/em><\/strong> typically switch students from A to B cohorts unless there are several<\/em><\/strong> reinforcing reasons to do so and the switch creates a win-win for all parties! It is typically done only after other interventions are attempted and as a last resort. Please do not call the office to request a switch!<\/p>\n\n\n\n This year we will have many more students and staff arriving and departing from school each day, so it is even more important that we all agree on how to navigate the parking lot!<\/p>\n\n\n\n The west, smaller parking lot (Humm side) is reserved for school staff and shared with Humm employees. Please do not use that parking lot for waiting, drop-off, pick-up, or turnaround.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Buses will be looping around the back of the school in the morning and afternoon. This will free up the loop in our main parking lot for pick-up\/drop-off. It also means that we will need to leave space for them to pull out, so please respect the signs and staff directing traffic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Our small population size has allowed us to offer the main parking lot for all student drivers, as well as parent parking and we intend to continue this practice unless space becomes an issue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n Cross country is a great sport for anyone who loves to run or is willing to try! In order to participate in practice students need to have registered and have brought an up to date sports physical to the office. Our engaging, student-centered instructional model (what attracted you to Realms!) is only effective if our students are present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n If your child cannot be at school, or if they will be late, it is important that parents\/guardians call our ATTENDANCE LINE (541-355-5515) to report\/excuse their absence<\/strong>! <\/p>\n\n\n\n If you do not call or email us, your student will be marked ABSENT – UNEXCUSED and you will receive an automated phone call saying your student was absent from class! If you get an attendance robocall that you believe to be a mistake, please follow-up with our attendance secretary Lisa Johnson (541-355-5504) to get this cleared up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This year we will be tracking and unexcused absences and tardies closely and working hard to support every student in being AT SCHOOL and IN CLASS on time! <\/p>\n\n\n\n “CONFLUENCE” at RMS – permission forms!
