Dress casual, formal, or fun! Just make sure that you can&nbsp;DANCE!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Students will enter and exit through the main doors&#8230; the daance will be in the ms gym in the back<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>no backpacks inside the dance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>no guests allowed for RMS. RHS dance guests must be approved using <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLScx83JOGx8QQ_AzQjrPA03TXGx6O1HuUD5wasaZQfYNBhZ-SQ\/viewform\">this guest form<\/a> which is due by end of day Monday Nov 28th<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>students may not leave and re-enter the dance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>for RHS Dance: all students will be breathalyzed upon entry as per District policy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Buy your tickets on <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/touchbase.bend.k12.or.us\/\" target=\"_blank\">Touchbase<\/a> through the District website.<\/strong>  <strong>Tickets will NOT be available at the door.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">If the cost of the dance ticket is prohibitive, we can provide &#8220;scholarships&#8221;. <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSfM4EWNiEtk16U8Sxv5mRPxVpr93eJnCGLvCBK26VwZnijnKg\/viewform\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Just put your name on this form<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"has-background wp-block-heading\" style=\"background-color:#78cfee\"><strong>RMS Electives Showcase!<\/strong> <strong>Parents Are Welcome to Attend<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our 1st trimester electives rotation at Realms Middle is coming to an end some of our electives that are excited to share a short performance of their newfound skills!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Wednesday Nov 30th 1:05PM &#8211; 1:50PM<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Joe Schulte&#8217;s 6th &amp; 7th grade Music Elective will perform a small set list of their favorite songs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Gray Conant&#8217;s 7th grade Drama Elective will perform a short play<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Jake&#8217;s 6th grade STEAM elective will perform some scenes featuring coded Spheros<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mr Woo&#8217;s Photography elective will share a short slide show of their work<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"color:#b90404\">If your student is performing and you would like to attend, then GREAT! You will need to check in at our main office using the Raptor System <strong><em>which requires a Driver&#8217;s License!<\/em><\/strong> Please arrive by 1:00 so we can get you checked in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"has-background wp-block-heading\" style=\"background-color:#78cfee\"><strong>Dec 1st &#8211; 3rd &#8211; WREATH PICK UP!<\/strong> <strong>HELPERS NEEDED!<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A HUGE thank you to all of you who helped make our Wreath Fundraiser a success! The next step is to get all those wreaths into the hands of our customers, and with that, we could use your help.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The truck delivering all of our wreaths will be arriving Wednesday afternoon\/evening this week. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Customers are encouraged to pick up their order in our parking lot during one of the following pick up sessions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Thursday Dec 1st &#8211; 8:30AM &#8211; 10:30AM and 3:00PM &#8211; 6:00PM<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Friday Dec 2nd &#8211; 8:30AM &#8211; 10:30AM and 3:00PM &#8211; 6:00PM<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Saturday Dec 3rd &#8211; 9:00AM &#8211; 1:00PM<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our pick up sessions will be staffed by parent volunteers who will have access to the complete order lists\/details by name of the customer who placed the order. If you are picking up an order for someone else, please be sure you have the name of the customer and the details of their order to ensure our records match up!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Friends of Realms is actually still looking to get some parent volunteers who could help &#8220;staff&#8221; these pick us sessions.<\/strong> We will provide you with all you need to know, and your job would be simply to check off customers&#8217; orders from our master list and help customers pick up their products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-heading\"><strong>If you are available to help at our truck unloading on Wednesday, OR at one or more of these pickup sessions above, please <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/volunteersignup.org\/AC4RM\" target=\"_blank\">SIGN UP ASAP HERE<\/a><\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"has-background wp-block-heading\" style=\"background-color:#78cfee\"><strong>Realms MS and HS Enrollment For 2023-24!<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This information is PRIMARILY for current 8th graders at Realms&#8230; though we encourage you to spread the word with any students\/families that you think would be a good fit at Realms&#8230; the lotteries for enrollment at RMS and RHS for 2023-24 are coming soon!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is a little hard to believe that we are ALREADY sharing information about next year, but our District has adjusted many of the lottery and ACR deadlines, so we want to make sure you have all the details&#8230; especially the new and earlier choice options school application and ACR deadline!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Here are a few things to remember:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Students attending or applying for enrollment at Realms Middle or Realms High School DO NOT NEED to submit an ACR! The lottery application process is enough.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ACR&#8217;s are only required for students who wish to attend one of our neighborhood\/comprehensive high schools that is NOT the high school they are assigned\/zoned into by address.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Current 6th, 7th, 9th, 10th and 11th grade Realms students do NOT need to re-apply for the following year. Your spot at Realms will automatically rollover &#8211; your space is guaranteed. In March 2023 we will ask you to complete an &#8220;intent to return&#8221; form just to make sure we have our enrollment numbers accurate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Current 8th grade Realms students interested in attending Realms HS <strong><em>WILL<\/em><\/strong> need to complete the Lottery Application when it opens on January 3rd. However, we do reserve 50% of 9th grade slots at RHS for RMS 8th grade graduates. If more than 25-27 Realms 8th graders apply for RHS, there will be a lottery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Key Dates To Know:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Tues Jan 3rd &#8211; Choice Option School <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bend.k12.or.us\/district\/academics\/choice-options\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Lottery Applications<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bend.k12.or.us\/district\/parents\/attendance-areas\/area-change-requests\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ACR process<\/a> OPENS<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wed Jan 11th &amp; Tues Jan 17th &#8211; BTA @ Marshall Info Night For Prospective New Students<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Thurs Jan 12th &amp; Wed Jan 18th &#8211; RMS &amp; RHS Info Night For Prospective New Students<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><em>Fri Jan 20th &#8211; Grades 1-12 Choice Options School Lottery Applications and ACR&#8217;s due<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>March 6th &#8211; Comprehensive Neighborhood High Schools 9th Grade Orientation Nights<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"has-background wp-block-heading\" style=\"background-color:#78cfee\"><strong>State Assessment Notification &amp; Opt Out Form<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Starting in March, our 6th, 7th, 8th, and 11th grade students will participate in our annual state testing (SBAC). The results of these tests provide our school and our district valuable information about what we are doing well AND how we can continue to improve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We want you to know that we are strongly encouraging ALL our students to participate in these assessments. The SBAC tests include some GREAT higher level thinking tasks&#8230; and these are the kinds of rigorous tasks we prepare our students to be successful with! While opting out is an option, we encourage you to think carefully before going this direction. These assessments provide us with useful information about our students&#8217; skills!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We will share more information (including specific testing dates) when the time is nearer. In the meantime, if you would like more information, or if you know that you would like to opt your student out for the ELA and\/or Math assessments, please refer to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oregon.gov\/ode\/educator-resources\/assessment\/Documents\/Opt-Out_Form_English_fillable.pdf\">this document which includes a fillable opt-out form.<\/a> These forms will be collected by our office staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"has-background wp-block-heading\" style=\"background-color:#78cfee\"><strong>High School<\/strong> <strong>Students &amp; Families &#8211; Time<\/strong> <strong>to check your Trimester 2 Schedules!<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Trimester 2 classes begin Monday, 12\/5!
