Dear New Realms Families!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am so excited to welcome your student and your family to Realms Middle\/High School for the 2023-24 school year. Whether you are an incoming 6th grader or an incoming 9th grader, (or somewhere in between!!) we are looking forward to an awesome educational adventure ahead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At Realms, we are committed to bringing rigorous<\/em><\/strong> academic standards to life in our classrooms. We do this by striving to create relevant and real world<\/em><\/strong> projects and curriculum for our students at every grade level so that students can connect and apply their classroom experiences to something that they come to care about… something that impacts their lives and our community! Also, we pride ourselves on pushing the boundaries of what public education is all about…. that is the radical<\/em><\/strong> part! Our commitment to fieldwork outside of the classroom, to tackling issues of social justice through a curriculum that explores multiple perspectives on real world issues, and to engaging our whole community in acts of environmental stewardship and service to others is what we call radical! And we are proud of this commitment!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are glad you are a part of the Realms Crew. It is not too early to get involved… in fact, there are some opportunities to jump in right now in this newsletter below including our upcoming Rubbish Renewed Eco Fashion Show fundraiser and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are many adventures, challenges and successes ahead of us. I look forward to them all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Realms major dates calendar is SLIGHTLY different than the major dates calendars from other District schools. Please be sure to download, print or in some way save this calendar as it includes the key dates of when we do and do not have school in session!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We’ve got some fun new items in our Realms Spring Gear store to get your school spirit up and running. All items are available with the Middle School or High School logo. The window for ordering is short! It’s open now and will close on Friday, May 26th<\/strong>. No late orders will be accepted. Orders will be delivered to Realms the first week of June. We will be in touch about a gear pick up day for your family! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

FRIENDS OF REALMS… GET INVOLVED!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We have a non-profit board\/foundation called Friends of Realms that works hard to raise over $60,000 per year. They donate this money every year back to Realms MS and HS in support of our fieldwork and Intensives programs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

FoR is looking for new board members to fill key positions. We are looking for members with many different skill sets. If you want to learn more about them or get involved, you can check them out and reach them through their website: friendsofrealms.org<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019re back! After 2 years of pandemic closures Friends of Realms is hosting the Rubbish Renewed Eco Fashion Show for its 11th year, one of the most forward thinking, eco-friendly, fundraising events to witness on May 20th<\/sup> at the Pavilion!<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through an innovative and inspiring event, the Rubbish Renewed Eco Fashion Show educates our community, while raising essential funds for our Realms Schools!<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
