{"id":432,"date":"2017-01-27T18:24:24","date_gmt":"2017-01-27T18:24:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.bend.k12.or.us\/jim.boen\/?p=432"},"modified":"2017-01-27T18:24:24","modified_gmt":"2017-01-27T18:24:24","slug":"1-27-17","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.bend.k12.or.us\/jim.boen\/2017\/01\/27\/1-27-17\/","title":{"rendered":"1.27.17"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>This and That:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>One of the great things I get to do in my job is visit and learn from all of you at least once a month. \u00a0When I&#8217;d be having a tough day as\u00a0a building administrator I always found pleasure and perspective in visiting classrooms &#8211; which would help provide that nudge to stay focused and not let all of the distracting\u00a0&#8220;noise&#8221; through me off course of being the best leader I could be. \u00a0I&#8217;m grateful that now I can scratch this itch by coming to your building(s), seeing the work you are doing and learning more about the great leadership you are providing day in and day out. \u00a0I hope to not keep my learning from you private however. \u00a0At my last visit to PCMS I was able to hear and learn a bit about the structured, engaging and focused work Chris and Lisa are doing with their teachers around lesson design. \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/a\/gapps.bend.k12.or.us\/file\/d\/0BwH82Aoi_UKTaFR3dVN3bndPaTA\/view?usp=sharing\">It is called GRASPS and I&#8217;ve linked some information\u00a0here<\/a> &#8211; or you can find this same document under the Instruction\/PD tab at the top if the TRIBE page at any time. I found this lesson design model to be a very thorough approach to connecting learning of content with students as learners (and teens!).
