The article is entitled\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/a\/gapps.bend.k12.or.us\/file\/d\/0BwH82Aoi_UKTXy1KdDZEbE84MW8\/view?usp=sharing\"><em>Schools should tell parents whether their middle schoolers are on track for college<\/em><\/a>, published recently in the Fordham Institute. If that title doesn&#8217;t make you at least a bit curious, I&#8217;m not sure what will!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>REMINDERS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Excellence in Education<\/strong> (an event to honor one certified and one classified from each building, as well as a few other\u00a0departments) will take place at <strong>Silver Rail next Wednesday, April 26<\/strong>. \u00a0Socializing and appetizers will start at 4:00 and the program at 4:30 (until about 6:00). As a reminder, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">you will be presenting your two employees to the audience<\/span> &#8211; so please plan ahead for what you are going to say to recognize her\/him. \u00a0We will call staff members up together by school or department and would like you to join them at the front of the gym; while they receive their shiny red apple, you will have an opportunity to speak. With just over 60 staff members being recognized, we are asking you to be quick with your comments; just a couple minutes at most, to help us stay on track for time.<\/li>\n<li>Don&#8217;t forget that (for yourself and your teachers) <strong>PASS Level Review assessor positions<\/strong> are posted n0w &#8211; and close April 28. \u00a0Both secondary teachers and admin are still needed (and 75% of review-submitting teachers are at the secondary level).
