If you could <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/a\/gapps.bend.k12.or.us\/file\/d\/0BwH82Aoi_UKTdWFyaktMU0tvVmc\/view?usp=sharing\">share the description and RSVP link found here<\/a>\u00a0with your parents, it would be greatly appreciated. Like you, our MS counselors were also very excited about being involved in this and subsequent Parent Workshop events coming this year.<\/li>\n<li>Green light to move forward with communicating information about and collecting SLGGs from your certified folks.\u00a0 Please refer to Jon&#8217;s email (on 10.3) for specifics around SLGGs\/Evals\/Minis.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>This and That:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If you have a question or concern that may involve the need to <strong>talk with legal council<\/strong> <em>please communicate this with me first<\/em>.\u00a0 We currently have six different attorneys\/offices that are used for school-related issues (not including School Board topics) and navigating where to go for help can be cumbersome, so let me help you with this. Additionally, we are instituting a change in <strong>where subpoenas are delivered<\/strong> to our employees during work hours. From now on we will try to funnel all subpoenas through an attorney at the Ed Center, who will then reach out to the employee and offer assistance on navigating through the issue that the subpoena represents.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>COSA Principal&#8217;s Conference<\/strong> is once again coming to the Riverhouse in Bend. This year we, as a district, will not have any registration slots for schools to use.\u00a0 If you would like to attend (stag, or with a team from your school) you are welcome to do so &#8211; but know that registration fees and any subs needed will be your responsibility to cover.<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Scott Bojanowski has set up dates and times for the <strong>Standard Response Protocol<\/strong> (Lock Down, Lock Out, etc.) and the <strong>De-escalation<\/strong> (Officer Stoaks) \u00a0classes that we conducted last year to take place again this year. Both of these classes are in PD Place. The SRP class is for all new employees, anyone that didn\u2019t receive the training last year, or anyone that would like a refresher course. The De-escalation training is geared towards front office staff.
