(Read to find out what this means.)<\/li>\n<li>Consider whether you&#8217;d be willing to participate in one of two upcoming <strong>Challenge Day<\/strong> experiences that will be occurring at LPMS and SVMS. If you would be able to spend a day at one of these two schools during the week of Feb. 5 please let Robi or Scott know. If you have not been a part of a Challenge Day in the past, I would encourage you to consider seeing what it is all about&#8230; as you will certainly be impacted in a positive way from this experience.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>THIS AND THAT:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>This short article comes from Marshall Memo 701, Sept. 4, 2017. The title:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/0BwH82Aoi_UKTX2hWTF9GV2NhaE0\/view?usp=sharing\">Being Candid Without Being a Jerk<\/a> says it all. Having <strong>difficult conversations<\/strong> is part of your job. You may not think of persistence being connected to having tough conversations, but I believe it is.\u00a0 I agree with the author who suggests you shouldn&#8217;t have these conversations when &#8220;you can&#8217;t wait any more&#8221; to have them. In doing so you&#8217;ve waited too long and you won&#8217;t be in the right frame of mind. Ask yourself if there someone you should be having a conversations with, but have been putting off?<\/li>\n<li>Much has been said regarding having and promoting a <strong>growth mindset<\/strong>. If you believe one&#8217;s words can either build up or diminish a growth mindset, then these <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1h9TBqcsfu1aBv-L3Ixo2EPU31h8q8n1z\/view?usp=sharing\">two pages of sentence starters<\/a> should be helpful. Let me know if\/how you share these at your building and I&#8217;d be happy to pass this along to others within our Tribe so we can continue to learn from each other!<\/li>\n<li>As you may recall, I spoke with you (principals) regarding the thought of having your students participate in the <strong>Student Wellness Survey<\/strong> every other year &#8211; and leave the off-year (and very similar) other survey alone.\u00a0 All of you agreed this would work.\u00a0 So, every other year the Student Wellness Survey will be conducted &#8211; starting this year.\u00a0 The window is basically February &#8211; March.
