This is a change.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>June 14 will be a full schedule day, not an early release day. This is a change.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>June 17 and 18 are makeup school days. June 17 is a full day; June 18 is an early-release day (SIW schedule).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>June 19, the District observes the Juneteenth holiday.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>June 20 is a certified staff workday (rescheduled from June 17)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In this year\u2019s&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bend.k12.or.us\/application\/files\/1316\/7711\/2938\/2023-24_BEND_and_SOUTH_COUNTY_FINAL_2.9.23-1.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Student\/Family calendar<\/a>, these dates were designated as potential makeup days&nbsp;for inclement weather\/emergency closures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This calendar change will&nbsp;<strong>not&nbsp;<\/strong>affect our graduation schedule between June 6 and 11.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please let us know what questions you or staff members have about this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-blue-color has-blush-light-purple-gradient-background has-text-color has-background has-link-color wp-elements-89d157ec6d58b21c39f8829b3e7fc849 wp-block-paragraph\">Welcome Back Survey\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are working on plans for the Welcome Back event for the 2024-25 school year, to be held on Tuesday, August 27, and would like to hear from employees on the preferred format. Please use\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/BMNWZSjBYxnAdEoS6\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>THIS SURVEY<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0to vote until Wednesday, Feb. 28 at 5 pm. The planning team is considering three options:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A&nbsp;<strong>virtual meeting<\/strong>&nbsp;with school and department staffs gathering in their buildings to participate. This would last a little over an hour and may include a new interactive experience for participating teams.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>In person<\/strong>&nbsp;with all District staff together in one place, with District buses shuttling staff to and from the central gathering place. This may entail a commitment of up to three hours and include breakfast and employment-related vendors.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A&nbsp;<strong>hybrid in-person\/virtual<\/strong>&nbsp;event at multiple locations: For example: High school, middle school, elementary school, and support staffs each meet at separate schools, with a portion of the program being a virtual event to connect all staff, followed by an in-person program with a focus on interests specific to the level or group.
