{"id":125,"date":"2018-10-12T22:31:46","date_gmt":"2018-10-12T22:31:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.bend.k12.or.us\/katie.legace\/?p=125"},"modified":"2018-10-12T22:31:46","modified_gmt":"2018-10-12T22:31:46","slug":"october-12-2018","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.bend.k12.or.us\/katie.legace\/2018\/10\/12\/october-12-2018\/","title":{"rendered":"October 12, 2018"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>TO DO:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>See you at <strong>La Pine HS this Monday, Oct 15<\/strong> at our HS Admin meeting.\u00a0 We will begin at 3:15 and here is the <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1_UMKguyejCNxfjZZUiXWur8hRofKSrz2\/view?usp=sharing\">agenda.<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Information:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Thank you for <strong>supporting teacher collaboration across our high schools<\/strong> by expecting teachers to attend the planned sessions and not planning a building activity during the <strong>District SIW<\/strong> dates.\u00a0 \u00a0Here are the sessions planned for the <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1hK8zPbTDoEEbFV2BGg169cl9cNqt7QAeqsG_uf4R4jM\/edit\">Oct 17 District SIW.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Enrolling COIC students<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We have shared this <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1WZRH1On5D5ZNQLtA2fDVsdFEWn-w_8Bt\/view?usp=sharing\">COIC enrollment cheat sheet<\/a> with your registrars and counselors.\u00a0 The process is not simple, but Rachel Mavis has determined a way for schools to still see their students who are <strong>enrolled full time at COIC<\/strong> so we can track them.\u00a0 She is calling this a GHOST ENROLLMENT.\u00a0 If you have questions, give Rachel a call at ext 1229<\/p>\n<p><b>New school start times for 2019-20:<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Next fall, elementary schools will start approximately one hour EARLIER. Middle and high schools will start approximately one hour LATER.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\" align=\"center\"><b>Elementary School Hours<\/b><br \/>\nApproximately: 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.; Wednesdays 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\" align=\"center\"><b>Middle and High School Hours<br \/>\n<\/b>Approximately: 8:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.; Wednesdays 8:45 a.m. to 2 p.m.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">We will keep families updated with new information throughout the year. Participants will see first-hand how emergency personnel respond to active threats in schools in several live scenarios throughout the evening.
