{"id":181,"date":"2018-11-16T21:53:25","date_gmt":"2018-11-16T21:53:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.bend.k12.or.us\/katie.legace\/?p=181"},"modified":"2018-11-16T21:53:25","modified_gmt":"2018-11-16T21:53:25","slug":"november-16-2018","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.bend.k12.or.us\/katie.legace\/2018\/11\/16\/november-16-2018\/","title":{"rendered":"November 16, 2018"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>To Do:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>*Employee Start Times input:<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong> Due to the changes to student start times in the coming school year, it is likely that many employees will see changes in their regular work day start and end times.\u00a0 The District Lead Together (DLT) team discussed the issue and is seeking to listen broadly to employee preferences and related suggestions.\u00a0 This team is made up of teachers, classified staff and administrators.\u00a0 This group focuses on issues that impact student learning and employees as a team.\u00a0 <strong>By Dec 7<\/strong>, we are asking you to run a quick <strong>face to face meeting<\/strong> to explain our interest in gathering employee input about work day hours and then <strong>provide a few minutes for them to complete the 2-question survey below<\/strong>.\u00a0 Thank you for your help!<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">The student start and end times for the 19-20 school year are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\">*Elementary \u2013 8:00 \u2013 2:30<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\">*Middle \u2013 8:45 \u2013 3:40<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\">*High \u2013 8:45 \u2013 3:45<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Below is the link to the high school survey.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.surveymonkey.com\/r\/BLP_HS_workday\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">https:\/\/www.surveymonkey.com\/r\/BLP_HS_workday<\/a><\/p>\n<p>*We will be offering a<strong> Co-Teaching Lesson Studio<\/strong> designed to support the work of <strong>Sped-Gen Ed and ELL-Gen Ed partnerships<\/strong>.\u00a0 Check out the details of the <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1s9-HahxvlT6c6xctXdMXLhSBehODZewO\/view?usp=sharing\">Co-Teaching Lesson Studio<\/a>.\u00a0 For partnership that choose to commit, I will <strong>cover the sub costs for six Gen Ed teachers<\/strong> to participate in the PLC work.\u00a0 We have a scheduled an information meeting in December to explain the plan and determine interest.\u00a0\u00a0 Thank you for <strong>passing on this valuable professional learning<\/strong> opportunity to your teachers!<\/p>\n<p><strong>*The window for the BrightBytes\/Clarity survey<\/strong> closes Nov. 30.\u00a0 This is the indicator the Board reviews to track the <strong>Future Ready<\/strong> &#8220;bucket&#8221;
