The good news is <strong>Scott B is available<\/strong> to partner with you on writing those safety plans. She has been waiting for this moment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>A note from Paul about planning for Events\/Activities\/Celebrations During School Hours<\/strong> (Follow RSSL):  We have received many questions surrounding the type of activities that are allowed during school hours.\u00a0 RSSL requirements must be adhered to for these events.\u00a0 Some things to prioritize in your planning:<br>Location: Outside is preferred to inside<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Audience:&nbsp; Parents are&nbsp;not&nbsp;permitted as they don\u2019t qualify as \u2018essential visitors\u2019. &nbsp; This applies to outdoor events too.&nbsp; Student audiences are allowed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Occupancy: No limit to the number people in a given space but you must adhere to physical distancing requirements<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Physical distancing:&nbsp;Students can be 3 ft apart.&nbsp; Students-to-adult and adult-to-adult are to be 6 ft apart (to the maximum extent possible)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Food: Onsite eating should align with normal school meals\/snack time<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Performing Arts:&nbsp; At this time, we are not allowing indoor theatre arts, band or choir performances with audiences. &nbsp; When the county case rate is below 200 cases\/100K, we will revisit the possibility for indoor performances.&nbsp; Outdoor performances are permitted with student audiences.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Masking: Masks must be worn at all times except when seated and eating at a designated meal\/snack time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Collaboration: Run your plans through your school safety team for their input.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Coordination:&nbsp; Your school should have an events\/athletics calendar that identifies what spaces will be used on specific days and times to ensure no overlapping event<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Custodians\/Nurses:&nbsp; Keep custodians and nurses informed of events\/activities<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Level Leaders:&nbsp;Keep your level leader in the loop during special event planning<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">COVID Czar:&nbsp;&nbsp;Identify the person in charge of maintaining all safety practices for your event<br><br><strong>Community Gatherings After Hours On Our Campuses<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When events occur outside of the instructional day,\u00a0<em><strong>RSSL is no longer applicable.\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">County Risk Sector: You must adhere to the risk sector guidance at the time of the event so you\u2019ll need to create multiple scenarios to adapt to the possible changing levels with our county.&nbsp; Confirm Deschutes County Risk Level&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/coronavirus.oregon.gov\/Pages\/living-with-covid-19.aspx#currentrisklevelbycountymap\">here<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">County Guidance:&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/sharedsystems.dhsoha.state.or.us\/DHSForms\/Served\/le3461.pdf\">County Risk Sector Guidance<\/a>&nbsp;changes at the governor\u2019s discretion so you\u2019ll need to check back regularly for updates.&nbsp;
