{"id":42,"date":"2018-09-13T21:06:59","date_gmt":"2018-09-13T21:06:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.bend.k12.or.us\/katie.legace\/?p=42"},"modified":"2018-09-13T21:06:59","modified_gmt":"2018-09-13T21:06:59","slug":"sept-14-2018","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.bend.k12.or.us\/katie.legace\/2018\/09\/13\/sept-14-2018\/","title":{"rendered":"Sept 14, 2018"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dynamic Leaders:<\/p>\n<p>Thank you for your efforts to insure<strong> our attendance data is accurate<\/strong> by removing no shows and continuing to <strong>reinforce the importance of attendance<\/strong> with your staff.<\/p>\n<p>As of today, we are still growing as a district in terms of overall student numbers.\u00a0 In terms of high school enrollment, we have seen a modest increase and historically, high school numbers rarely go up after school begins.\u00a0 At this point, no staffing adjustments are on our horizon.<\/p>\n<p><strong>To Do:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>I am looking forward to a scheduled meeting with each principal every month.\u00a0 Principals, please click onto this <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/11_dUsSm66WdnvF5wJhLBgOHlvPGqHoxYtzrtpXis_Ok\/edit?usp=sharing\">Connection Schedule<\/a> and select times to meet in October, November and December.\u00a0 For the meeting in October, part of our discussion will focus on reviewing discipline and academic data for your school, hearing about your plans for <em>School Design<\/em> and other topics of your choosing.\u00a0 Let&#8217;s plan on an hour.<\/li>\n<li>Several of you have been <em>pining<\/em> to serve on the boundary committee &#8211; now is your chance.\u00a0 Go to this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bend.k12.or.us\/boundaries\">boundary committee application link<\/a> for information.\u00a0 Please be sure to <strong>get this info out to your parents<\/strong> &#8211;
