Please see April if you need to confirm which of your students will be moving to one of these programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Conference Dates (From Andrea Wilson): <\/strong>Attention! There was a mistake about the spring conference dates. Initially, conferences were published as April 7 and 8. They are actually April 14 and 15. It has been corrected on the district website, but please help communicate this information to families. This issue includes ideas for including Lexia and Dreambox into your daily routines and support for grades 4&amp;5 hybrid instruction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Attendance:<\/strong>\u00a0K-3: Please follow the same procedures as last week.  4-5: Take attendance in Synergy for the days students are in class and send April an email about your virtual students, and she will go back and change those students. If you have any questions, please reach out to April; she&#8217;s happy to walk through it with you.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">COVID\/ Safety related information:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Questions\/Concerns about COVID-19 related matters?:<\/strong>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/12W1CiwISAOh_l5XUgFmkiUO2LejQ_wpP\/view\">Please follow this flowchart<\/a>. If in doubt about what to do, you can always check with Frank or Kelle. Frank is our Safety Team Lead, and Ann Hollenberg is our School Nurse. You can find our\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bend.k12.or.us\/district\/home\/return-school\/school-safety-check-lists\">School Safety Checklist here<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>BLP Masking Update:<\/strong> After further discussions with our health professionals, it was learned that most local medical centers have changed their masking guidelines and are no longer allowing gaiters, buffs, or bandanas as substitutes for cloth\/disposable masks that fit snugly around the mouth and nose.\u00a0\u00a0For students (or staff) who are attached to their logo gaiters, this will come as a disappointment.\u00a0 We can exchange their gaiter\/buff with one of our district provided masks or buffs\/gaiters placed OVER a mask that adheres to our requirements are permissible.\u00a0 Masks with valves or otherwise vent air are never acceptable. \u00a0\u00a0Masking Poster  (*The Elk Meadow front office will be communicating this with parents in our next monthly newsletter, but we will be enforcing it beginning on Monday, January 31, by providing a mask to those students that need one. If you have any push-back, please send parents and\/or students to Kelle or Frank).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>CDC Recommendations for Travel:<\/strong> Please consider these CDC quarantine recommendations if your family has plans for either domestic or international travel in the months to come.  The bottom line for both \u2013 Individuals who have traveled out of state (domestic or international) are recommended to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Get tested 3-5 days after travel AND stay home for 7 days after travel.<\/li><li>Even if you test negative, stay home for the full 7 days.<\/li><li>If your test is positive, isolate yourself to protect others from getting infected.<\/li><li>If you don\u2019t get tested, it\u2019s safest to stay home for 10 days after travel.<\/li><li>Avoid being around people who are at increased risk for severe illness for 14 days, whether you get tested or not.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Also, take these actions for 14 days after you return from travel to protect others from getting COVID-19:<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Stay at least 6 feet\/2 meters (about 2 arm lengths) from anyone who did not travel with you, particularly in crowded areas.
