For that reason, I don’t recommend sending iPads home with our K-3 students but will completely support you and/or parents if either would like for them to go home. I realize that grades 4 & 5 will need to send home iPads with at least half of their class to have their iPad on the first Monday after spring break to work at home.

Summer School Interest Form: On Friday, Skip sent an email about a summer school program that the district will be providing for our highest-need students. Here is a review from the New York Times:

We know American public schools do not guarantee each child an equal education. Two decades of school reform initiatives have not changed that. But when Chana Joffe-Walt, a reporter, looked at inequality in education, she saw that most reforms focused on who schools were failing: Black and brown kids. But what about who the schools are serving? In this five-part series, she turns her attention to what is arguably the most powerful force in our schools: White parents.

COVID/ Safety Related Information:

Questions/Concerns about COVID-19 related matters?: Please follow this flowchart.
