A new version of our compact was created last year and we will be using the same process as last year.  In your box on Monday 10\/17, you will find a color &#8220;brochure&#8221; version of the compact and a flat black and white version of the compact. Please plan about 5 minutes of time during your conferences to complete the compact and signatures. Families will take the color version home. You will keep the signed black and white version. When conferences are over, give the signed copies to Olivia.<\/li><li><strong>Synergy Information:<\/strong> Also on Monday 10\/17, classroom teachers will receive a one page Synergy report.  Please hand this to families at the end of conferences and ask them to double check the information. We have come across many incorrect emails, phone numbers, and emergency contacts this year.  All families should either initial that everything is correct and return it to the office or make changes and return it to the office. We will have a basket in the office for collecting these.<\/li><li><strong>Family Engagement Survey: <\/strong>There will be QR codes in each week for families to take a survey regarding our family engagement efforts. Please encourage your families to participate.<\/li><\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Conference Meals:<\/strong> Elk Meadow families are providing the fixings for a potato bar on Wednesday and soups on Thursday. Drop off is supposed to be between 12:00-1:00, so there should be some good food in the staff room after 1:00 each day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Conference Administrative Support:<\/strong>&nbsp;Please we&#8217;dure to reach out to Frank or Kelle ASAP if you would like some administrative support at a conference for any reason.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Discovery Ed Professional Learning Opportunity (From Robbie in Instructional Tech):<\/strong>&nbsp;Discovery Education will be hosting an optional, one-hour professional learning session for Bend-La Pine elementary staff on Wednesday, October 26th, at 1:30. The session,&nbsp;<em>Getting Started with Discovery Education<\/em>, is a great way to find out more about the tools and resources available for use in the K-5 classroom.&nbsp; If you are interested in attending this virtual learning session, please&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/cp5v921A12AYy11s5\">fill out this form<\/a>. Attendance is limited to the first 50 staff members, and you will be provided with 1 PDU. A zoom link for joining the session will be sent to you on the morning of October 26th. If you have any questions, please contact your instructional technology team.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>UKG Update:<\/strong> Please watch this 2-minute training video regarding the UKG digital leave flowchart. Reminder &#8211; we will not begin using UKG for leave until December 5.
