This and That:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Keep it Simple:<\/strong> I can’t say this enough… KEEP IT SIMPLE. Keep it simple for your own sanity, and also for our families. Most of our families are really grateful for all of the love and support they have been receiving from the district, school, and classroom this past week; and just like us, some are overwhelmed by the amount of communication. When possible, let’s do what we can to keep our communication with parents to no more than one contact per day from the school (specialists, this means you will need to connect and coordinate with the classroom teacher before<\/strong> connecting with a family to ensure we aren’t bombarding our families with too many contacts in one day.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Weekly Staff Meetings:<\/strong> Our weekly staff meetings will begin at 1:00 sharp each Wednesday. We will all be meeting via Webex; you should all have an email with a link at this time<\/span>. The Webex meeting site will be open about 12:50, but the meeting won’t begin until 1:00. If you are able to access the meeting at home, you are welcome to participate from home. If you don’t have a solid internet connection at home, you may need to access the meeting from the school or via phone. Once you get into the meeting, please be sure to mute your microphone and turn off your video.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

EME Office Business Hours: <\/strong> Although it will be rare that our office staff will be working from the school, our business hours and support will remain the same. If you or a parent call the main line (541-355-1500) between 7:30-3:30 a human will answer the phone. Voicemails and emails will be returned within 24 business hours. Our general roles are staying the same, so you can direct office type questions to whichever person you think it goes to (you can’t go wrong… even if it’s not the right person, we will make sure your question gets to the right place).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Spending Freeze<\/strong>: For at least the next few weeks, we are in a spending freeze. That doesn’t mean nothing can be purchased; it just means that it needs to come through Kelle first. Our printing costs are going to be astronomical for the next couple of months (and we already used up our printing budget), so the only spending that should be happening right now are necessary costs. Still, with that said, if you have a great idea that will cost some money, don’t hesitate to run it by me. We just shouldn’t be looking for ways to spend money right now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Activities On Hold<\/strong>: At this time, all of the below are looking quite doubtful. A lot of events are completely on hold until we have a clearer picture of what lies ahead.
