Important Updates<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">As we gear up to welcome students back into the building we have some important information to share. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1Y33kDtrCzvKELOiqK34rzjhBGYVkS6qn\/view?usp=sharing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">LPHS Hybrid Schedule<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bend.k12.or.us\/district\/home\/return-school\/school-safety-check-lists\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">LPHS Safety Checklist<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bend.k12.or.us\/bus\" target=\"_blank\">Bus Information<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please take a moment to watch this [4 minute] informational <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/lu5YF4HxVrg\" target=\"_blank\">VIDEO<\/a> regarding health and safety related procedures that will need to be followed when LPHS students return to in-person learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Also, please see the Nurse Newsletter <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1iqjD4Z0KoHTesUXGJgiwzsfygxHoyanJ\/view?usp=sharing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">HERE<\/a> for guidance regarding when to keep your student home from school. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><u>Transition &amp; Orientation Weeks<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Transition Week: January 25-29<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">During this week, teachers will provide lessons and assignments in Canvas, but there will be no live WebEx instruction scheduled; unless a teacher specifically chooses to continue live WebEx sessions. Teachers who will be continuing live Webex teaching will be notifying their students. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>9<sup>th<\/sup> Grade Orientation: February 1<sup>st<\/sup> &amp; 2<sup>nd<\/sup><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">9<sup>th<\/sup> Grade Orientation will be from 9:00 a.m. &#8211; 12:00 p.m. If your student usually rides a bus to LPHS, transportation is provided. You can look at your child\u2019s pick-up time on the transportation website <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bend.k12.or.us\/bus\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">HERE<\/a>. This will also be their morning pick-up time during Hybrid Instruction. If you are bringing your student to school, or they are walking, please know that our school doors will not open until 9:00 a.m. We don&#8217;t want students to show up early and have to wait in the cold. Students will be dismissed from LPHS at 12:00 p.m. on the Orientation days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>9th Graders should plan to attend orientation on the following assigned days:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left has-normal-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Monday (Feb 1): <\/strong>9th grade (<strong>Last name A-K<\/strong>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left has-normal-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Tuesday (Feb 2):<\/strong> 9th grade (<strong>Last name L-Z<\/strong>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What to bring for Orientation?<\/strong> Please keep supplies to a minimum. Students will need to bring the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Charged iPad (this is, and remains, a critical learning tool and is extremely important to bring every day!)<\/li><li>Mask<\/li><li>Backpack<\/li><li>Water bottle (with your name on it)<\/li><li>Coat \/ Jacket <\/li><li>Lunch \/ Snacks **Hot lunch is available for all students free of charge. No need to register. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>10th, 11th &amp; 12th Grade Orientation: February 3rd <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">10th, 11th and 12th Grade Orientation will <strong>virtual<\/strong> on February 3rd. Students will be <strong>required<\/strong> to attend their Advisory WebEx at<strong> 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday (Feb 3)<\/strong>. During this Orientation time students will go over information and details about our new <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1Y33kDtrCzvKELOiqK34rzjhBGYVkS6qn\/view?usp=sharing\" target=\"_blank\">Hybrid schedule<\/a>, school safety protocol, understanding their schedule\/classes, connecting with their peers, how\/where to ask for help, and much more!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-normal-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><u>Will Your Student Ride the Bus to Hybrid Learning?<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">If so, you need to sign them up!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">If your student will be riding the bus to school for Hybrid learning, you will need to sign them up!
