Well, we are officially underway–thanks for a fantastic first week, so much great community building!<\/p>\n
A few notes to get us going:
\n1) SIW this week–we’ll use part of the time to have a staff meeting and you’ll have some work time. \u00a0I know you have lots to do!<\/p>\n
2) \u00a0We’ll start Invitations<\/strong><\/span> this week and run them Monday, Tuesday, and Friday beginning at 1:30. \u00a0Partnerships<\/strong><\/span> start on Thursday at 2:25–K\/3, 1\/4, 2\/5.<\/p>\n 3) Grades 3 and 4 will be on an adventure to Crater Lake on Tuesday. \u00a0They’ll be gone all day (and then some).<\/p>\n 4) Concert on the Green is this Friday from 5-8pm. \u00a0 Picnic and music, a nice way to end the first full week. \u00a0Hoping you can make it! \u00a0Pizza, drinks, and Shave Ice will be for sale.<\/p>\n 5) \u00a0We’ll have our first Fire Drill on Thursday at 1:30pm. \u00a0Please take time to talk to your kiddos about it and do a little practice so they’re ready.<\/p>\n 6) In case you don’t read the esteemed Bend Bulletin, this article is worth a read and really (big shocker) validates what we already know to be true: kids need to play in order to develop crucial life skills.
