New School-wide Theme<\/strong>: Perseverance! Good timing, yes?

Hey Team!
I hope you had a fantastic weekend! We are definitely in the final stretch of the year and everyone is feeling it! Michelle and I got away this weekend and ended up on the one of the Wikiup fingerlings. Below is a shot from Sunday morning sunrise–that’s the back of Bachelor in the distance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A few notes to get you going:<\/strong>
1) Feliz Cinco de Mayo! For the REAL meaning of Cinco de Mayo, have a look: Cinco de May<\/a>

2) It’s AUCTION WEEK<\/strong>, and auction time on Saturday! Lots of people have been working hard to make it happen once again. As always, you are not required to be there but I sure do love seeing you there and having few laughs. This year’s theme is Under the Palms-think Hawaiian\/Florida cringe\/tropical leisure.

3) Cafe Amity on Wednesday<\/strong>, Grade 5 is hosting.

4) School Nurses Appreciation Day is May 7<\/strong>. Thank you to Cynthia for all she does for Amity!!

5) Ian will be here singing with K\/1\/2<\/strong> (and Grade 4 during Enrichment) for the next few weeks. As a reminder, here is the schedule on Thursdays:
*8:45-9:15 Kinder
*9:40-10:10 Grade 1
*10:15-10:45 Grade 2

6) Lori will be joining us for about 30 minutes this week at SIW<\/strong> to introduce us to EL language dives.

7) We’re doing our annual Volunteer Appreciation Tea on May 22 <\/strong>after Community Time. Patti will be sending you a link to the volunteer document–please take a moment to add any and all volunteers to the list so we don’t miss anyone. Thanks in advance!
