Greetings!
\nI hope that Conversations<\/em> were great (as usual!) and that the extra day off this weekend helped keep you happy! \u00a0It was so great to see so many of you and to be together at the celebration for Colby yesterday. \u00a0I know Lindsey really appreciated our presence and support.<\/p>\n

A few notes to get us going:
\n1) Earthquake drill tomorrow<\/strong> (Tues) at 1:15. \u00a0The basics: duck under table, cover head and back of neck, and hold. \u00a0See below for more in depth information (from your red\/green notebooks that you carry with you when we evacuate the building).<\/p>\n

2) Trick or Treating on Wednesday<\/strong> starting at 12:30. \u00a0As always let’s have staggered departure times starting with the Olders who are likely to be ready a lot sooner than the Youngers. \u00a0We’ll send a group every few minutes. \u00a0Be sure to have masks and bags ready!<\/strong><\/p>\n

3) EBISS<\/strong> on Wednesday!

\n10:45-11:15\u2014Grade 2
\n11:15-11:45\u2014Grade 1
\n1:00-1:30\u2014Grade 3<\/p>\n

4) SIW this week<\/strong>: We’ll discuss Chapters 2 and 3 from Mathematical Mindsets.<\/p>\n

5) Movie Day<\/strong> on Thursday. \u00a0I had a heck of a time finding a movie suitable for Kinder through 3rd so I decided to split the group up into smaller groups. \u00a0We’ll split into 3 groups, K-1, 2-3, and 4-5. \u00a0If you were wondering, movies for Kinder-3rd must be rated G, 4-5 can be rated PG. \u00a0Please let me know if you have access to renting the movie for your group and I will reimburse you for the rental.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

K-1<\/strong>: The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh has a run time of 1 hour 40 minutes. \u00a0Let’s plan to start the movie at 9:20–we’ll break for Choice time from 10:05-10:25, then be able to finish the movie before 11:30. \u00a0In the gym.<\/p>\n

2-3<\/strong>: Toy Story 2 has a run time of 1 hour 37 mins. \u00a0If you get started by 9:20 you should be fine. \u00a0Frans and Heidi, can you decide which room to use? \u00a0The studio could also be an option.<\/p>\n

4-5<\/strong>:\u00a0Run time for Hidden Figures is 2 hours 7 mins. \u00a0You’ll need to start as close to 9:05 as possible in order to finish before lunch time, or you could start whenever and finish after lunch-up to you! \u00a0I believe you will be in Matt’s room.<\/p>\n

6) Talent\/Variety show:\u00a0<\/strong>currently scheduled for Dec 5–should we postpone until the Spring? This would allow Lindsey to be a part of it. \u00a0We’ll talk at SIW this week. \u00a0March 20 is a possibility, the week before Spring Break. \u00a0Please give it a thought and feel free to chat me up about it prior to the meeting if you have ideas.<\/p>\n

7) Grades 4 and 5 are headed to Smith Rock on Friday–yahoo!<\/p>\n
