During the next few weeks, continue to consider what overt demonstration of CARE looks like for your students. We heard from several teams this week and some great ideas are brewing. If you are interested in quick ideas to add to your personal CARE repertoire, you might make the Greater Good Science Center Monthly Calendar part of your daily routine. It has a daily link to a brief article and idea that may just spark your interest during the day. Consider it as an add to the CARE part of your<\/i> life. Changes are in the midst. We are doing some piloting of a plan this week at Cascade and if successful, our plans will change moving forward. Stay tuned…<\/p>\n Webex Session Security: <\/strong>Upcoming changes to security should help with managing unintended or inappropriate student visitors to your Webex meetings. The students will log into Webex in a similar fashion to how teachers log into Webex. The teachers will have \u201chost\u201d accounts. These accounts allow them to schedule and create sessions. The students will have \u201cattendee\u201d accounts. These accounts will only allow them to attend sessions. Users from outside the district will not be able to attend Webex sessions that are created by teachers. Look for new instructions for how students will join Webex meetings in the next few days. By the way, the next update of Webex will also have the most requested item by teachers\u2026 a mute button that students can\u2019t unmute! [And a special shout out to Vince Valenti for doing the behind-the-scenes heavy lifting to make sure these changes work!].<\/p>\n Data Review: <\/strong>Thank you all for getting the data to Ryan and I regarding student progress. We will ask for this periodically throughout the year for comparisons at the district level. We also will use this information to design supports for students with common difficulties.
